Alwynn Accuardi1Alywnn writes, “After high school I took a year off before enrolling at Portland Community College where I became an active member of the Theatre Department and Vice President of the Drama Club for two years. After my incredible time at PCC, I became an apprentice with the Original Practice Shakespeare Festival, and through that, a member of the company for a few summers. While I was performing in parks all over Portland, I went to Portland Actors Conservatory, a two-year program that shaped who I am as an artist and a professional.

“Since graduating last May, I’ve performed in Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead by Tom Stoppard and Hamlet, with Anon It Moves. I also assistant-directed A Winters Tale (Shakespeare) at Da Vinci Middle School. In a few months, I will begin rehearsals for Cymbeline (again, Shakespeare: my passion, my light and my reason for getting up in the morning), in which I have a lead role. Being an actor is hard and heartbreaking and the most rewarding thing I could ever imagine doing with my life.”
