Campus Additions, Renovations, and Enhancements

Founded in 1982, our school community spent its first twenty years spread out between multiple buildings and neighborhoods in Portland. Then in 2002, the visionary leaders of PWS found our current property in Milwaukie and came together to purchase the building, spending countless volunteer hours renovating and updating our two buildings and seven acres into the beautiful home we have today. We are so grateful for their foresight and ingenuity!

Today, we are the stewards of this campus, and it’s our turn to care for our buildings and grounds; to invest in the place where our children spend their days learning, playing, and making friends and memories. We care for our school not only for our own children but for the children who will flourish at Portland Waldorf School in the future. In this video, get a glimpse behind the scenes from when we first purchased our Milwaukie building, all the work that went into it then, and all that is still happening today!

  • Community

Some of the most important work we can do is to model for our children that we are dedicated to hard work and CARE for our school. Twice a year, PWS hosts a day of CARE, community building, and fun in service to the beautiful land and buildings where our children learn and play every school day. Join fellow parents, faculty and staff to enhance our campus, both indoors and outdoors.

  • Connection

Help us grow our network of donors who feel compelled to invest in Waldorf education. We are looking for passionate parent, alumni, and community ambassadors to spread the word about PWS and the opportunity to contribute to our CARE Campaign. We are also seeking grant researchers and writers.
