Michaél Festival 2023

The Michaél Festival, one of the most significant festivals in Waldorf schools, gives us the courage to face our inner darkness of doubt, antipathy, apathy, and fear. Furthermore, it calls forth our inner light of truth and the power of universal love, (Michaél's sword made out of cosmic iron), to lead us through the darkness, (the dragon).

Students immerse themselves in this story of courage – the overcoming of one’s shadow, the shining of the light of truth and conscience – and embody this important moral teaching together.

We are pleased to share photos from this year’s Michaél Festival, as well as photos from our PreK and Kindergarten students dying their silk “capes of courage” and our faculty and staff having their own Michaél Festival celebration with clay modeling.

Thank you to Katrina Dimick for photography.
